Making a Living Mining Gold in Modern California

career gold mining started in California on January 24th 1848 with the discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill. The boom lasted until 1855 and helped usher California in to the union. Gold can still be found today in California, with estimates as high as 80 to 90 percent of California's gold still remaining. The majority of the large surface or placer gold is gone, but that doesn't mean you can't make a living mining gold in California.

Interviewing for a job can be one of the hardest things we have to do as responsible adults. For some reason we just don't like talking about ourselves, our accomplishments, and why we want the job.
