I'm a Harry Potter, NCIS, and research addict that has been blogging and writing online for the past 10 years. I specialize in low-carb dieting and other weight-loss topics, but I also write about health, various diseases and conditions, gluten-free diets, autism, alchemy, esoteric Christianity, and a little bit of tarot. I particularly enjoy gluten-free recipe creation, as I'm strongly addicted to collecting recipes and figuring out how to convert them to be gluten free.
Currently, I manage several blogs, ghost write for Textbroker (Level 4), and write alchemy articles for the Harry Potter for Seekers Yahoo Group (by the owner's request). In the past I was the Feature Writer and Topic Editor for the Autism section at Suite101.com and was contracted to write the autism articles at Health Mango.
My professional background is in caretaking and teaching developmentally disabled adults in rehabilitation settings: group homes, apartment living, and workshop capacities. I also have several years of cooking experience as a culinary specialist for several boys' homes where I ran the kitchen, taught the boys how to cook, and wrote a couple of cookbooks about cooking for large groups. In my younger years, I did basic office work, but it wasn't as fulfilling as content writing has been.
I am a self-diagnosed celiac with several health challenges and permanent neurological damage due to being undiagnosed for most of my life. Many of the topics I write about are due to personal experience, research, and a driving interest in getting to the bottom of many of the misconceptions and errors that are so freely tossed around and repeated as if they were true. I also have a strong interest in transformation of consciousness, which bleeds over into much of my work.
My blogs:
Kickin' Carb Clutter Blog
Making the Gluten-Free Diet Journey
Life After Low Carb Blog
A Freelance Writer's Life
Sharing the Magic Within Harry Potter Blog
The Harry Potter for Seekers website has my latest esoteric project in their Discussion Section, a collection of posts that focus on the first book in the Harry Potter series, as it pertains to alchemy: Harry Potter's Invitation to the World.
I currently have 76 articles here at Infobarrel: 27 of them have been featured on the front page and 8 are in the Top 100 articles for the site.
