Andrew J. Garcia, Law Practice Management Coach
107

Lawyer by day, woodworking enthusiast by night, Andrew Garcia is co-founder of the Lawyers for Lawyers Practice Management System (the "LFL"), a coaching company that helps lawyers create successful law businesses in today's competitve market. He is also a managing partner of Phillips|Garcia Law, a two-partner law firm mainly focusing on consumer rights and class actions; personal injury; civil litigation; estate planning; and business representation.
As an avid woodworking hobbyist, Andrew builds furniture from cherry and maple hardwoods. The design style he enjoys the most is his "take" on the classic Shaker style. Over the last 15 years, he's built tables, book cases, a stand-up desk for his law office and a cherry wood "pencil post" bed.
Andrew is also an adjunct professor at Suffolk University Law School where he teaches "The Business of Practice," a practical course designed to help students create financial, marketing and website design plans so that they can "hit the ground running" with their law practices after graduation.
A 1991 cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School, Andrew first worked as a law clerk and then as a sole proprietor before forming a partnership. As Managing Partner, Andrew handles all aspects of a small law practice including finances, staffing, vendor/contract/lease negotiations; benefits and pension plan; and marketing which includes national and local marketing strategies.
