An ex IT contractor who, by an accident of life, is now living and loving life on Orkney.
I run a seven acre small holding but the only animals are poultry which make me a gardener who keeps ducks and hens.
We also have a cottage and a caravan which we let out as self catering holiday accommodation.
For many years now I have spent a great deal of time (and money :-)) on researching my family tree. I am lucky enough to have a rare maiden name of Glasswell which makes my task so much easier. If your name is Glasswell then you are related to me some where along the line. To take a break from my tree I started researching my husband's  tree. Again lady luck was with me there as he is a Scot and Scottish certificates hold so much information.  When I had gone as far back as as I could I started coming back down and filling in distant relatives. As you can imagine this was, and still is, a huge task and my tree currently holds over 21,000 people. Most of whom are related to either me or my husband, by birth or marriage. I am not however a professional genealogist so any information I offer on here comes from my own experiences.
