Have you ever looked at someone you see walking by and wonder what they see? Have you been curious as to how they see the world, wondered about their perspective on a certain matter? Have you ever wondered why he responded to life as he did? Or why she walks with such confidence or self doubt? Why some people fear what others call trivial? In eighth grade, every day as I passed strangers, I wondered what their lives were like; I pondered the possibilities of where they've been and who they've met wishing I could be like some of them. But one day, as I was slowly becoming who I am, I developed satisfaction for who I was and who I knew I would become. I am proud to be the person I stand before the world as today and I feel no shame: things could be better, but as I like to think: things could always be worse.
