The Square Life Shifter

Important things to know about me:

I am the squarest kinky haired momma you will likely ever meet.  Yes, I am ok with that!
To say I've gone through some major stuff in my life is an understatement.  Even still I know that I have a greater purpose and will not be defeated.
I am not perfect but love to pretend otherwise.
I have a huge unwavering dream to one day walk into my 9-5 office job, wearing my favorite office illegal pink flip-flops, jump on my desk and yell at the top of my lungs "Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!".
My life long goal is to be the best inspirational speaker the world has ever known.  If that job is already filled I guess I'll settle for being the worlds best Super Mario Brothers player instead.  Can I get paid for that??!?!
Pink is my favorite color.  Followed by black, blue, purple, white, green, yellow, coral, teal, then red.
I loathe orange candies of any kind.  Skittles, M & M's, Dots, Starbursts.  I'm sure my mother traumatized me in some way.  Imagine Mommy Dearest going into a rage over orange candy.  Yeah, that's me.  NO ORANGE CANDIES EVER!!!!!!!!
I'm a 70's baby which means I have respect for my elders, being a latchkey kid was a rite of passage, and yes, Jem is TRULY outrageous even still.
My feet are flatter than pancakes.
I've lost 25 pounds in the last year.
I'd rather stay home and read a book than go out and party.
I have three tattoos.  What?  Squares can't have tats?
The number 1 most important thing to know?  I heart sushi!  If you do as well, I think we will get along swimmingly.

For black women, there comes a time in many of our lives where we may struggle with our hair and how to mantain it.  Depending on the woman, and her own ideals of what is acceptable, the internal battle can be pretty insignificant or an all out war. ...

Get Over Your Past. Get Over Yourself.

Here's a question for you.  If you had a buddy that constantly drug up "that thing" you did when you were 19, or that always provided you with a play by play of your worst insecurities at every unimaginable opportunity, would you really consider that person a friend?  Would...
