I've been writing consistently (okaaay, struggling) online since 2010. My formal education includes: music (piano), nursing, orthotics/prosthetics (artificial limbs), and ophthalmic (eye care) assisting.

I love to tackle human and animal rights issues and anything related to the betterment of society and our planet. Sometimes, I design fun "slice of life" designs on Zazzle for my Sousababy store to help raise funds for various causes.

Oh and I love to dabble in the humour niche. I'm an amateur cartoonist and wannabe comedian. You can view my fun skits at my Rose Webster YouTube channel.

G-F African Braised Chicken in WowButter Sauce (Slow Cooker Method)

If you've ever had African braised chicken in peanut sauce, you'll love this dish. The subtle nutty flavour combined with hot peppers, curry and sherry makes this an easy meal to serve up on rice. For those of you on a peanut-free or gluten-free diet (or both), I've found WowButter to be the tastiest substitute. What's more, it's actually healthier than peanut butter and mixes easily into slow cooker recipes.

HubPages is Breaking the Law

Both Squidoo and HubPages broke the law when author content was sold and bought without the express permission of each content owner. I've written numerous articles detailing what was morally and ethically wrong throughout this business transaction. Today, I felt it was wise to focus solely on the legalities. I've provided proof that may also help you file a successful lawsuit.

Magic WowButter Pillow Cookies (With G-F Options)

Chocolate and peanut butter are a classic combination. Before WowButter was invented, this taste sensation was off-limits to anyone with a peanut allergy. Well, I have something even better: WowButter Pillow Cookies. And they are magical. I've made mine gluten-free but if you don't need to be on a gluten-free diet, just omit the xanthan gum from my recipe and use regular flour.

Cheesy Tomato Basil Pasta aka "Pizza Pasta" (With G-F Options)

After my man-servant made a tortilla pizza, I decided to create a recipe with his leftover ingredients. Fresh basil is too good to waste. I settled on a pasta dish since it's the easiest to reheat for lunches and leftovers. With the creaminess of Alfredo sauce and the flavours of homemade pizza, this gluten-free pasta dish was a big hit with my daughter. She calls it "pizza pasta." What's more, there is plenty of wiggle room and you can add any "toppings" you desire.

HubPages: The Truth Behind Editor's Choice

It saddens me to see stellar authors used and lied to by Paul Edmondson, the CEO of HubPages. As an outside observer, I can clearly see the impact the Editor's Choice program is having on subdomains. All of the evidence, along with over a dozen testimonials, points to the HubPages domain being massively downgraded by Google. I believe Paul Edmondson is grabbing at straws (and even keeping my work) on his site to reap as much profit as he can before a possible sell-out, closure, or lawsuit.

Dear Google and PayPal: HubPages Is Undermining You

HubPages requires your updated tax information (including your SSN) before you receive payment. The first email former Squidoo writers received from HubPages perfectly fits the description of a phishing email. I followed Google protocol and reported it. Months later (and as more proof surfaces), I feel Google and PayPal are well within their rights to demand an investigation of HubPages and their questionable business practices.

Is HubPages Catering to Scrapers and Identity Thieves?

Are you baffled by the management decisions on HubPages? For authors on HubPages right now, I have some facts and theories to share with you that might explain the most backward business decisions I've ever witnessed. These finer points might help you decide whether or not you should continue to contribute to this platform. I also caution you about sharing your tax information and how you can protect yourself.

UPDATED: Pinterest Traffic Dropping?

After wondering for months why my Pinterest traffic nosedived, I discovered that someone created a Pinterest account using my old Squidoo pen name. Not only is my work still being posted on HubPages without my permission, it appears that this new Pinterest account is sucking traffic away from my real Pinterest account. If your Pinterest traffic is drying up, you might want to follow the steps I've taken (detailed in my article).

Pinterest: How To Report an Impersonator

It's not a matter of if you will have your identity (and content) stolen, but when. In the war against scrapers and thieves online, I created a pictorial guide to help you report an impersonator on Pinterest. Since Google Plus has added "Pin it" buttons to photos, I feel that Pinterest has become one of the newest methods scrapers are using to outrank original authors.

Easy WowButtery Chicken Pot Pie (Cast Iron Skillet Method)

Craig Claiborne, long-time food editor and restaurant critic for The New York Times once said, "There is nothing better on a cold wintry day than a properly made pot pie." I couldn't agree more. And since I've discovered how versatile WowButter is in sauces, I decided to create a Thai inspired peanut-free chicken pot pie. Using only a cast iron pan to cook everything and a frozen pie crust, this hearty meal is on the table in about an hour.

Squidoo Authors Who Migrated to HubPages: Here Are Your Choices

The grace period for Squidoo authors who transferred to HubPages ends soon, on January 15th, 2015. At which point, authors may find their work doesn't measure up to the QAP on HubPages. Moving content off of HubPages means losing the 301 redirect that proves you are the original author to Google. Plagiarists and scrapers seem to target HubPages more than any other site I've researched. Feel trapped? Well, you do have some recourse and choices.

HubPages: To Report Or Not To Report?

As predicted, the tension between Hubbers and former Squids has writers scrambling to find the spam on HubPages. Many people still believe that Paul Edmondson was telling the whole truth when he stated that Google had put a manual action on a couple of subdomains for pure spam. I had a hunch the problem wasn't with the writers. And finally, I figured out where Google sees the spammiest line of all - thousands of times online. And no, the writers are not to blame.

Dear Pinterest, HubPages Stole My Work and Identity

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, it did. After reading a HubPages forum thread about doing a Google search of your name and hubpages in quotes, I decided to do the same. Not only was I disturbed by the entries returned for my stolen identity and content, I was shocked by what turned up for my friend TanoCalvenoa (who deleted all of his Squidoo work August 20th, 2014). I think it's become crystal clear why HubPages will not let someone remove their author content.

Ham Steaks With Port, Cinnamon and Maple Glaze

My man-servant brought home ham steaks and asked me to create a brand new recipe. Staring at my kitchen (and into cyberspace), I found inspiration in the LCBO recipe finder and a bottle of vintage port. Where else? My Canadian tweak was maple syrup but you could also use honey. Served up with a side of potatoes and peas, I think you'll find this simple dish a keeper.

Sweet Potatoes, Peppers, and Chicken in G-F WowButter Sauce

If you love to barbecue year-round, this simple dish is a no muss, no fuss way to ensure everyone gets exactly what they want. It's also ideal for those who arrive a little late for dinner. Each serving is baked in foil which helps to keep it warm and prevents it from drying out. There's no fry pan to scrub and you only need to prep a few vegetables. No barbecue? Don't worry, it bakes perfectly in the oven too.

Dear Larry Page and Paul Edmondson

Here we are at the end of 2014 and I'm wondering how I will make ends meet at the end of February. I have no idea how long it will take to hear back from the IC3 or Level 3 Communications, the ISP for HubPages. For now, Consumer Affairs has let me know they are "waiting for a response from the company." In the meantime, I thought I'd try to get through to Larry Page since it appears that Paul Edmondson has blocked me on Google Plus.

Succulent G-F Butter Chicken (Slow Cooker Method)

If you thought butter chicken was too much work or had too many hard-to-find ingredients, you are in for a treat. I found the simplest way to make it in your slow cooker with common everyday spices. What's more, my version is gluten-free, nut-free, and lighter on milk fat than most recipes. There is plenty of wiggle room with this recipe and I include other substitutions to suit your tastes.

The InfoBarrel Advantage (With Ryan McKenzie) Bonus: Sneak Preview of InfoBarrel Version 4.0

Google's improved Panda algorithm released earlier this fall has targeted low-quality content on even the largest writing platforms. It appears that quality is being rewarded over quantity. Thankfully, high-quality (small or medium-sized) sites such as InfoBarrel are leading the pack. I sat down with Ryan McKenzie and asked him a dozen questions. Find out what he had to say about InfoBarrel's success and what's on the horizon for this Canadian-based company.

Why on Earth Is Any Squid Filing a DMCA With Google?

In a response to a forum thread posted on HubPages, I felt compelled to answer Marisa Wright and others in this short article. I'd like to clear up some facts, present the law, and dispel any myths. Any anger directed towards me is clearly misplaced. My hope is that every writer is able to leave the HubPages platform and receive the entire amount of his or her earnings.

Theories Why HubPages Unfeatured Former Squidoo Articles

HubPages unmercifully decided to unfeature hundreds of former Squidoo Lenses-turned-Hubs on or around December 1st, 2014. While former Squidoo writers are wondering what happened, I drew on my social psychology classes and research into workplace bullying to provide you with some theories. Bottom line: we need to hold HupPages and Squidoo execs to their terms of service and both federal and state laws.
