After being born in Alabama and raising my children there, I relocated to Phoenix Arizona in 2000. Arizona allowed me to lick my wounds after a divorce and stand on my own two feet.  I took the time to explore the old west. Fulfilling some very old desires I took flying lessons, took my first trip to Disneyland, drove to San Francisco and Las Vegas and attended many major league baseball games.
While I was in Phoenix I learned about the inner workings of the Internet, and I even learned to swim. After ten years of living in the valley of the sun I felt the time was right to go back to the east and live closer to my children and their families.  I packed up my 2 Australian Shepherds and we moved to Kentucky. 
As a trained literacy teacher, I feel blessed with the opportunity to teach adults to read and write. To share the love of the written word with others was truly my calling.
Starting this new chapter of my life in Kentucky has given me an entirely new area to explore and to write about what I discover.
