Analysis of Darren Aronofsky's "Pi" (1998)

There is no official definition of Aronofsky's style yet, but considering my understanding of the style, I could define it as 'modern psychological surrealism.' So far Aronofsky has shot three full feature masterpieces ('Pi', 'Requiem for a Dream', 'The Fountain'), and 'Pi' is probably the most suitable film for revealing and analyzing the aspects of the style.
