Q: Why did you create the Healthy Weights program?
A: "I discovered that the very people who are best equipped to treat weight gain were fellow professors conducting research within Universities. Despite the resounding success of their studies, the proven methods of weight loss were not reaching the people that needed it most. This concerned me and is why I started Healthy Weights."
For the past 5 years, Drew has been a lecturer, research scientist and part time faculty member in the areas of cardiovascular physiology, exercise, behaviour modification and nutrition. He's held positions at both the University of Waterloo and Wilfred Laurier University. In addition to scientific publications Drew has been featured in The Record, The Waterloo Chronicle, Diabetes Dialogue and Chatelaine magazine.
