I am a retired Canadian military officer, with 35 years service. Since retirment I have done some consulting for the military and worked as an operator/analyst both at the Land Force Western Area Simulation Centre and the Canadian Maneouvre Training Centre.
For the past two years I have taken up citizen journalism, mainly as a hobby. My interest are in current events, particularly Afganistan, politics, both U.S. and Canadian, sports (German Bundesliga) and NHL Hockey.
During the past 20 years I have been involved with horses, having done some breeding and horse training. While it is now mostly a hobby, I still have a small herd of six horses.
