I am a student and a teacher with diverse interests including history, art history, psychology, sports, wellness and fitness, diversity. My intellectual curiosity and critical thinking compel me to research and write about these diverse topic. With variety of interests I have two careers simultaneously.
One of my careers is as an art historian. I have a Bachelor's Degree in history, a Master's degree in art history, museum studies and cultural heritage and a certificate in non-profit management. I assisted curators at the Freer Gallery of Art, a part of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C., worked as a graduate research assistant at Florida State University, coordinated a public art project for the state of Florida, and was an assistant editor for two publications of the Museum of Fine Arts, Florida State University.
I am also a passionate group fitness instructor. In this role I help create a safe, challenging, engaging environment in which people have fun while getting fit. I am a coach, educating participants about how to move and the benefits of the exercises. Each class is an opportunity to help others improve their quality of life.
My passion for my careers as a fitness professional and art historian and my diverse interests compels me to continuously research and write, helping me think through issues with the hope of sparking someone else's interest along the way.

As an art historian I often get asked: "what is art?" My answer is: anything can be art if someone says its art and the person listening agrees or just accepts the speaker's opinion. Instead of attempting to answer the broad question "what is art?" this article shows how one painting, Willem de Kooning's Woman I, 1950-2, many find ugly and incomprehensible came to be valued more than a million dollar and a highlight of one of the world's most respected museums.

If you are looking for a way to get more from your workouts or spend less time at the gym and increase fitness maybe HIIT is for you.
