I've been raising money for good causes since I was a kid. From door-to-door doughnut sales to pet talent shows and lime-ade stands, I raised money in my neighborhood for the March of Dimes, American Red Cross, the Humane Society and many other causes. After getting married and having two children, I joined the Jaycees (Junior Chamber of Commerce) and raised really big bucks as a volunteer. When my boss said jokingly, "Hey, don't let your job get in the way of your volunteer work," I knew it was time to change careers.  I soon landed my first job as a professional fundraiser and 25-years later I still love my job. Every day, I get to work with volunteers and staff who, like me, are mission-driven and sincerely want to make our community a better place to live. I enjoy helping others achieve their fundraising goals.
