Gordon Hamilton

Gordon was born and raised in the county of Lanarkshire, south-east of Glasgow, in the United Kingdom. He has in the intervening years lived in both Edinburgh and London but is presently back living in the town of Wishaw where he was brought up.
Gordon spent almost twenty years working in the banking sector in a number of very varied roles but since 2007, he has been writing online full time, largely on privately commissioned projects. He has in addition written for a number of commercial sites but principally Hub Pages and the former sites (now discontinued) that were Helium and Squidoo. Between the years of 2009 and 2013, he was the Food and Drink Channel Manager for Helium, as well as a member of the site's editorial team. He has also maintained a number of blogs over the years, the most successful of which continues to be his main food blog, entitled What Should I Have for Dinner Tonight? These days, he writes for the most part on the subjects of food and drink, travel and sea fishing but generally upon any subject which from time to time takes his fancy. 
When he is not writing, Gordon enjoys cooking and experimenting with food, sea fishing from both shore and boat, watching football (soccer), rugby union and horse racing, traveling and pub socializing. He has been passionate about all of these subjects (the pub socializing one aside!) since before he ever so much as set foot in a school classroom.
