I am passionate about being active in the outdoors and all the great things it can bring: I currently work in National Parks and spend my time volunteering in search and rescue and mountain bike trail building.  I have an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and an MSc in Sustainable Communities.  I previously worked as a fitness instructor for the Canadian military and was a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiologists.  I am a member of the Canadian Sustainability Professionals and the Canadian Institute of Planners.I am a former cross-country mountain bike racer and current social rider, and plan to tackle the dirt jumps this summer; I am spending this winter first learning to ski, then to backcountry ski; I have done countless hikes, trails runs, and mountain bike rides all over the world: New Zealand, Fiji, Guatemala, Nicaragua Costa Rica, California, Wales, England, Scotland, Québéc, and of course beautiful British Columbia.  I believe in connecting with people and the power of getting outside to enjoy our world and make it a better place.
