I worked for over fifteen years as a corporate financial executive in Los Angeles, working for companies such as Paramount Pictures as the Director of the Treasury, Concord Development as the Director of Accounting and Finance, and Community Associations Institute as Executive Director. In 2003, I went back to college, first in the Writer's Program at UCLA and then got my B.A. in creative writing from CSUN in 2005. I received my M.F.A in Creative Writing from West Viriginia University in 2008, specializing in novel-length historical fiction. I've been a full-time writer since 2003. I am a Shakespearean scholar and mentor to new writers and non-traditional students and work as a volunteer teaching literacy and ESL.
