One of the many lessons I've learnt in life is to never sign up for a gym membership. They are far too expensive and you'll end up wasting your time on equipment that is of no benefit to you. You are much better off setting aside a space at home and using kettlebells. They are cheaper and a hard workout can be performed in as little as 15 minutes.
