Hello there! I am currently a landlocked sailor and a stationary geographer.   I have a master degree in geography with a focus on climatology. I spent many years working aboard sailboats as Captain and Mate running education programs for students after earning my 100 ton Coast Guard License. I believe that outdoor, leadership education should be a part of every student's education.   I also spent two years teaching public school, in Colorado and North Carolina.

I enjoy eating a healthy diet, making things with my own hands, spending time outdoors (hiking, climbing, etc), finding ways to improve the environment, and spending time with my family and friends.

Currently I am living in upstate New York and am staying home with my boy/girl twins and am loving the opportunity to do some writing.
