Using Envelopes

By | Sep 10, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Often the simplest things in our lives are the ones we would find it difficult to do without. Take envelopes for example, you see them every single day and probably never give them a second thought unless you need to buy supplies, and then unless making cards is your hobby or business you will in all probability just be looking to bulk buy discount envelopes. But, now that we are thinking about them, why don't we examine some of the different types and ways to use envelopes.

Also known as as 4 by 6 envelopes, photo envelopes are very somewhat larger than this to easily hold 4 x 6 photos or cards. Additional near to 4 x 6 envelopes are in fact the very prevalent C6 capacity that is 4 1/2" by 6 3/8" and takes an A4 document folded into quarters or a6 envelopes which is slightly larger again".

The a6 envelope is frequently put to use for cards and invitations plus a few industry uses. This can make a6 envelopes nice to take delivery of since they usually contain a card or a little something that's nice rather than the standard brown envelopes containing a charge! The flaps on a6 envelopes are generally square or pointed, with pointed flaps being applied most often for cards. The 'a' group of envelopes are available in varying sizes with the smallest being the a2 envelopes with the biggest being the a10. The a7 which holds a 5 X 7 card is also a popular size for celebration and other greetings cards.

Vellum envelopes are of a greater level of quality than regular envelopes. In the past your bank director, attorney or accountancy firm would all possibly use vellum envelopes when writing to you. These days they are often used with card making. A contemporary use for vellum envelopes are the types made to be see-through. These come in many colors, shapes and sizes, to use for wedding invitations, announcements and even for novelties. Most are in the announcement a2 to a10 collection.

As well as translucent vellum envelopes, a further see-through envelope structure is cellophane envelopes. However these are used for clear presentation for displaying cards to purchase. Homemade projects folks and greeting card makers can get this type of envelope in big amounts via discount envelopes distributors.

Stardream envelopes are produced having a metal simulated finish so that they are a little unique. These are generally used for more costly greetings handmade cards or for wedding invites. However lots of kraft envelopes suppliers carry stardream envelopes in the full array of sizes so they can be used for a number of diverse things. And also, don't think that you'll be restricted to silver or gold envelopes, as these are available also in sapphire, copper, malachite and bronze.
