Vacationing In The White Mountains Of New Hampshire

People have enjoyed spending their vacations in New Hampshire for hundreds of years. It's been called, one of the most beautiful places on earth. There are panoramic views, that will take the breath away. Colorful and vibrant with the simple lifestyle that endures here.

There are four solid seasons to enjoy in the granite state. Winter for skiers, fall for hunters, fisherman and hikers. Summer brings campers,and general sightseers. Spring has rafters and other outdoor enthusiast's flocking to the area. There really is something for everyone here. The variety of activities makes this area a great option for a family vacation.

Crystal Clear Rivers
New Hampshire also boasts some of the most beautiful rivers in the country. The water is so clear, trout can be seen swimming just below the surface. Fisherman love the angling opportunities and are attracted here throughout the year. Trophy fish are often taken from the northern lakes.

White water rafting and canoeing or kayaking, have been favorites of vacationing groups and families. There are rental companies along most rivers or equipment can be brought along. Either way the rivers are something to see. There are different degrees of whitewater for everyone, from the extreme rapids, to the rambling slow paced relaxation ride.

Autumn Panoramic Views
The leaves are so colorful here during the autumn months that they draw sightseers and photographers from around the world. A ride along the famous Kangamangas highway, will show a glimpse of some of the wide angle fall picture opportunities that can be found.

There are many attractions for both young and old. Caves and waterfalls, steam engine trains, dancing bears, that can be fed at the historical Clark's trading post.

Moose can be found, meandering along the side of the road. Deer frolic in fields and a few wild turkeys sightings, are some natural highlights, one can come across.

Snow Peaked Mountains
The State boasts some of the best ski areas in the northeast and many will come during winter months for this attraction. Snow boarding has also become very popular. Major ski areas are constantly adding new trails and lifts. The state also offers miles and miles of cross country skiing.

There are trails for beginners as well as classes. The advanced diamond runs, will challenge even the most experienced skiers. Winter brings tourists to this area in droves and the hotels fill rapidly. Vacationing here means getting a reservation long in advance. There are quaint rental cabins as well as a multitude of campgrounds, from primitive spots along the National Forest, to elaborate commercially run sites with pools and spas available. Having fun and being as comfortable as possible is easily accomplished here.
