Video Podcasting vs Regular Podcasts

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

Video podcasting is the new wave to hit since the launch of the iPod Video. This has got to be the best one of the coolest things to hit technology in a very long time. The iPod video can even play movies!

This is because the new iPod can play podcasts in a mp4 format rather than just the mp3 format that most other players use. Mp4 is a technology that works by compressing high resolution video into a small file format making it perfect for downloading and viewing by portable media devices.

Although online videos have been available for years, it is a new groundbreaking approach that allows it to be put on portable devices to actually be viewed on the go, away from the computer. This technology came into being available in late 2005.

Of course video podcasting became an instant hit and has been growing faster than ever over the past few years since it has launched. It makes you wonder what Apple corporation has up their sleeves next doesn't it? With every new technology such as video podcasting that comes out brings in opportunities for us to make the most of it. There are a lot of benefits that come with podcasting your videos out to the world.

* Content publishers can ensure that their messages would be delivered in the most stimulating and enticing way possible.  People would respond more to what they could hear and see.

* Content publishers who wish to inform and educate consumers can be assured that video podcasting is the best way by which other people can learn about what the publishers want to share.  People want to be shown what to do, instead of merely being told on how to proceed.  Actual images that would demonstrate the message are far more effective than written texts.

* Content publishers who decide to distribute video content are viewed as credible enterprises which have invested much on cutting edge technology.  Yes, video podcasting may not be as difficult as how other people would put it, but this misconception can help you build your brand.

* Video podcasts would give consumers more reasons to enjoy their downloaded content.

* Video podcasts make a lot of things possible: entertainment movies, music videos, instructional materials, serialized programs, and the likes are just some of the many possible applications for this relatively new medium.

Ipod Video owners are quickly growing in number, and the demand for video podcasts would likewise increase with the growth of its audience base.  Experts predict that in the next few years the number of users who have the iPod video or other similar portable media players would be pegged at 50 million. If you want to make the most out of this field, today is the best time to start.
