Villaware Crepe Maker Review

By | Dec 8, 2009 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

The VillaWare Crepe Maker is a great appliance to have around the kitchen, if you like crepes. Crepes are a very delicate french pancake that can be filled with anything that is edible and be turned into a wonderful treat for the family or guests.

The VillaWare Crepe Maker features 900 watts of power and a 7 1/2" cooking surface that is coated with a smooth, nonstick material, with a slight convex shape. You will dip the heated crepe maker into the dipping pan filled with batter. Because it has the convex surface, the batter coats the pan evenly, then you set it on the counter and the crepe cooks perfectly. Once the crepe is done, you just peel it off the surface and start the process over again.

It features an automatic thermostat which will let you know when the cooking surface is at the right temperature and ready to cook. Also featured with the VillaWare Crepe Maker is the dipping plate to hold the batter and a stay-cool dipping handle alone with a recipe book filled some delicious way to make your crepes and blintzes.

You will be able to make a crepe in about 40 seconds, allowing you to create enough for everyone in a short period of time. This is the least expensive model of crepe makers and does a very good job. The only complaint that I would have is the cord becomes wrapped up when turning the crepe maker over and back again. Other than that, the VillaWare Crepe Maker makes great crepes that my family and friends love.

There are so many ways to make crepes, and there are more recipes online and in the cookbook included than you would ever have a chance to make. Fruit crepes seem to be a favorite among many, but then you can also use some meat and cheeses. It will be fun to have your own crepe maker and start experimenting.

There are other electric crepe makers but the VillaWare Crepe Maker is the best price for the value on the market. You will find some nicer models and brands at a higher price, which will all depend on your budget and use. If you are one that makes crepes on a regular basis, you may want to check out the other models as they are a bit larger and easier to use. In the meantime, check out the VillaWare Crepe Maker and then decide what will work best for you and your family.
