Vizio LED TVs - Reviews and Complaints

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

At first, I had always a little skeptical about the Vizio brand. For some reason, I think it was the Z, the name just seemed menacing. I shied toward the other brands rather than risk it, but recently I have changed my tune and will now provide you with a Vizio LED TV review.

Let’s start by looking at the top of the line VIZIO XVT553SV 55-Inch 240 Hz TruLED LCD HDTV with VIZIO Internet Application. This is quite a television. It costs about $1,700, so it’s not for the light wallets.

First, let’s look at the dynamic contrast ratio. This television has a 10,000,000 to 1 dynamic contrast ratio. That is extremely high. That means that the image you are looking at has a great variance between the brightest and darkest color that it will display.

So, this television can get very bright. That’s important because the last thing you want is for your flat screen television to look like it has a sheet over it. That’s just depressing.

Now, let’s just talk about what people have to say about this product. Sometimes, it isn’t so much about technical details so much as it is about how people feel about the television. Great televisions are great because people like them.

One of the things people love about this television is that it does not have a glare problem. Some televisions seem to reflect every possible glimmer of light. This can be very frustrating if you are trying to watch something during the daytime.

Thankfully, this television does not have that problem. Sure, it will reflect some light if it is shining right at it, but it does not add to the problem because of its design like some televisions do.

Now, you have to expect that a 55-inch television is going to weigh a lot. This television does weigh 76 pounds. Still, that’s pretty light compared to how heavy some televisions of this size are. So, the weight is a plus for this television.

Also, this is a thin television. When people purchase a thin television they hope that it will be as thin as possible. I am glad to be able to say in this Vizio LED TV review that they have accomplished just that.

So, while I was at first wary of the Vizio name, I have changed my opinion. It appears that many television manufacturers are making great televisions these days. Now, it is up to the consumer to find out which television is right for them.

There are different things that people look for when they are purchasing a television. Some like size, others like features. The best television is the one that fits the person looking for it the best. I think that Vizio has made a television that can do that.

I hope you have found this Vizio LED TV review helpful. Still, you should read up on reviews for the model of television you choose to get. You want to know what you are paying for.
