Edge vs. John Cena:
World Wrestling Entertainment Champion Edge defends his title in his home town Tornoto against his worst rival, John Cena; who has promised to quit RAW if defeated by Edge. The duo certainly has history. It all started at SummerSlam, where Lita helped the Rated R Superstar – Edge to snatch the title from Cena. Since then it has been a slaughtering enmity between two ruthless opponents. Undoubtedly Cena has got all the powers to take his revenge, but Edge seems to have an edge coming to this match; especially with all his experience and an unbeaten record in TLC matches yet he has never won in any Unforgiven PPV before. On the other hand, John Cena has never been in a TLC wrestling match before though he can still pull it off with his unmatched skills and continues energy. It’s all to wrestle for in this World Wrestling Championship match up between Edge and the Doctor of Thuganomics.
Winner: John Cena
D-Generation X vs. The McMahons & Big Show:
Shawn Michaels and Triple H united their powers again back in June to reform D-Generation X and ever since Mr. McMahon is in pursue of a master plan to execute DX. He has once failed at SummerSlam; can he wrestle his way through DX at Unforgiven? This still remains to be answered but McMahons’ are not any short of allies to really make this wrestling match, a hell in a cell for Triple H and Shawn Michaels. There has been a different kind of hype to this giant wrestling contest as well, with DX really getting under their boss’ nose. Mr. McMahon has been queered to say the least and been literally ripped off by DX both inside and outside the arena. Triple H sounded brutal when he made this statement, “It’s been a long time since someone has made us taste our own blood... thank you for reminding us just who the hell we are.” Given Triple H’s remarkable track record at Unforgiven (5-1), he seems good-enough to prove his words, or may be he has just underestimated the weight of big Big Show and all other powers on hands for McMahons? It all remains to be seen at Unforgiven!
Winner: D-Generation X
Johnny Nitro vs. Jeff Hardy:
Intercontinental Championship is on the line! He came, He saw, He conquered; that has been Hardy’s story since his arrival at RAW just two weeks ago. But with Melina on Johnny Nitro’s side, it can be one hell of a wrestling encounter. If not for Nitro’s title saving disqualification - courtesy Melina, Jeff Hardy was already in possession of Intercontinental gold, but things are still in balance as they fight it out again.
Winner: Johnny Nitro
Lita vs. Trish Stratus:
Trish Stratus in her wrestling career has never been defeated in any of her appearance at Unforgiven from 2002 to 2005. It has been a mixed-affair between Woman Wrestling Champion of the world Lita, and Trish. They have been friends sometimes and enemies at other times. The much-heated rivalry between the two divas is only 7-years old and its time to decide now. This is Trish Stratus’ last wrestling match of her career; and this is Trish Stratus’ home town; will she settle for anything less but the Woman Championship? Lita has been successful in unsettling Trish - the 6-times WWE Woman Champion but Trish can overcome all of it by defeating Lita to end her wrestling career at a winning note in front of her fans. It promised to be one exciting contest of RAW’s Unforgiven 2006.
Winner: Trish Stratus
Spirit Squad vs. The Highlanders:
Two cousins Rory and Robbie McAllister, The Highlanders claimed their chance in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match, first to become No. 1 Contenders and now to dispossess Spirit Squad from their World Tag Team Championship at Unforgiven. Only during their 2-months of stay at RAW, The Highlanders have earned themselves a good reputation and they are in good shape to win them the Tag Team pride. Whereas, the Spirit Squad alliance of Kenny, Johnny, Mitch, Nicky and Mikey can provide heavy resistance to keep their WWE honors.
Winner: Spirit Squad
Carlito vs. Randy Orton:
The cool encounter? Little things can lead to big ones; as it all began with Carlito’s chirping to Randy at his loss to Hogan. Since then it has been a series of unfortunate events between these two young wrestlers, including Carlito’s apple-spit into Orton’s face to cost him the No. 1 Contender slot to the WWE Intercontinental Championship. And now the Caribbean Cool and the Legend Killer have a lot to settle in this exclusive rumble for Intercontinental title.
Winner: Randy Orton
Kane vs. Umaga:
Kane loves wrestling at Unforgiven! He holds the record for competing in the most number of matches; seven including his infamous Inferno Match against The Undertaker, at WWE Unforgiven. Though in all those matches, Kane has not been at his best to give him a win-loss record of 3-4. Now the Big Red Machine is up against an unstoppable - Samoan Bulldozer Umaga. Kane has to settle his wrestling account with already 0-1 down against the Bulldozer. But Umaga’s chances are flying high, given his run of five undefeated months.
No matter what, its red-hot wrestling guaranteed at WWE Unforgiven 2006.
Winner: Double countout draw
