So, by now we have all finished Halo: Reach and many of you are probably wondering where is the Master Chief? The MC wasn't in the campaign, he wasn't in any of the missions so is he in the game? Well you can purchase John Spartan 117's voice for firefight and multiplayer. So, what? That isn't even a proper cameo. True, true.
To give a little backstory for those of you who don't know. The Master Chief is the primary character of the Halo franchise. He was first introduced in 2001 with the first Halo game. Master Chief was the playable character in Halo 2 and Halo 3. After the main Halo trilogy was over, the side-story games like Halo Wars, ODST, and the prequel Reach came out. There has not been a mention of Master Chief in these games, except for Reach.
Reach does have a little secret. In the game Reach the MC does make a cameo. it is during the final cutscene in the mission Pillar of Autumn. As the Autumn is leaving drydock, and Captain Keye's pelican lands, you can view the Master Chief in a cryotube. Now the cameo is only a few seconds long, but it is a great cameo. Bungie at least made a reference to the MC in the game, and even though you don't play as him, I enjoyed it.
To conclude, MC is in Reach. Now you don't play as him, he doesn't have any lines, and you don't really see him that long. But it was a great little clip. Just to remind you all, he does appear in the last scene as the Pillar of Autumn is leaving drydock. And it is not a very long cameo, so make sure you watch carefully or have the ability to record the scene because you might want to pause this scene later and examine it closely.
