Arthritis is a disease condition which brings about inflammation of the joints and accompanying pains, stiffness, redness, and swelling. The various ways to prevent and treat arthritis are as follows:
- Avoid Caffeine Intake
Consumption of coffee on a regular basis can bring about a change in your normal body function. Caffeine is a stimulant. So, if you an arthritis patient, it is better to stay clear from caffeine intake.
- Avoid Tobacco Intake
It is known fact that smoking is dangerous to your health. For you to be healed of arthritis, you need to avoid or quit smoking.
- Reduce salt Intake
Excessive consumption of salt results in many abnormalities including hypertension and arthritis. This is so because excess salt hinders the normal flow of blood to various parts of the body, including the joints.
- Avoid Sugar and Sugary Foods
White sugar is dangerous to your health. You also need to be careful concerning foods that are packed with sugar. Sugar is capable of causing inflammation in the body and joints, resulting in arthritis.
- Reduce or Avoid Fat Consumption
Bad fat consumption is dangerous to your health. You must reduce or avoid the use of fatty foods in your diets. Do not consume fatty milk, other dairy products, and red meat.
- Avoid Eating
and other Citrus Fruits Oranges
- Eat Fiber, Fruits and Vegetables
Consume some fiber foods, flax seeds, oat bran, beans, and dark green vegetables daily. Also, eat pineapple frequently. An enzyme found in pineapple helps to reduce inflammation. Avoid eating refrigerated and canned pineapple, but eat fresh pineapple.
- Consume foods with Histidine Amino Acid
Eat foods containing the amino acid Histidine, including rice, wheat, and rye. Histidine is effective in removing excess metals from the body. Many people with arthritis have high levels of copper and iron in their bodies.
- Relief stiffness with a hot shower as against cold shower.
- Make Use of pain Relievers
Put salt into kerosene and dab on the affected parts to relief pain. Do not rub on the skin. Also, relief pain by placing cabbage folds with bandage overnight. Pain can also be relieved by rubbing raw lemon and hot castor oil.
- Avoid allergies, take fresh air, and sunlight
- Observe regular and moderate exercise
Exercise is important for reducing pains and keeping the body fit and healthy. Regular exercise removes stress on the affected joints. Do jogging, cycling, and swimming exercises regularly. Lose excess weight if you are obese.
