As you may already know, there are a lot of different programs and products out there that will help you lose weight. Losing weight is really just comes down to diet and exercise. All of those programs are just a variation of these two basic things. So what sort of exercises should you do to effectively lose weight? Here are some weight loss exercises for you to try out.

There are two basic types of exercises you will want to do. The first is cardio. The reason you want to do this is to burn calories. This will involve any activity that will help get your heart rate up to a certain level and keep it there for a long enough time for you to burn off a lot of calories. This can involve running on a treadmill, using a stationary bike, a stair climber, swimming, or even doing some kickboxing. The key to get the most out of this type of exercise is to do it in the morning before you actually eat anything. This way, your body will be burning off stored fat instead of energy from the food you just ate. You will ideally want to pick something you enjoy doing. Running is really effective but some people find it incredibly boring.

The other type of exercise you will want to do is weight lifting. Even if you are a woman, you need to add this into your exercise routine. The reason is because you want to build muscle. Muscle can burn fat even while you're sleeping. For this reason, weight lifting will actually help you burn more fat than running will. You will want to primarily work on different parts of your body on the same day. Generally, you will want to have one day for chest and shoulder, one day for biceps and back, and one day for legs. When doing these exercises, you will want to make sure you keep proper form to avoid injury.

They way you combine both of these weight loss exercises is to do cardio one day and weight lifting the next day. Ideally, you want to keep them on separate days. If you have to workout at night, then on cardio days, try not to eat anything at least 4 hours before your workout. On weight lifting days, you will need energy to make sure you eat something 1 to 2 hours before the workout to give your body some energy.

The key to getting the best results with these weight loss exercises is to be consistent. If working out with a friend will help you be consistent, then do that. The longer you workout on a consistent basis, the stronger the habit of working out will become. Once it becomes a habit, exercising to lose weight won't even be a struggle anymore.
