Weight Loss Green Tea
For centuries throughout the world and especially in Asia, green tea has been known to have many holistic benefits and some varieties of green tea are so treasured for their healing characteristics they are sold for as much as $60/lb. Nowadays with many health problems being associated with excess weight and obesity, weight loss green tea has now come to the fore in popular culture.
Marketed from anything as an a fat-burning nutritional supplement to an appetite suppressant, weight loss green tea has become commonplace for dieters and those seeking to live a more healthy lifestyle by integrating a natural herbal supplement to their everyday lives. The concern that may crop up in many people's minds is; is weight loss green tea as effective as it is claimed to be? If we look at the ancient Chinese medicinal system, our answer is yes.
Green tea is often considered "cold" meaning it lowers the body temperature. Whoa, you might say, isn't tea supposed to be hot? The temperature of the liquid when it enters our body is hot, yes. But once green tea enters our bodies, the chemical reaction taking place within it cools it down; therefore green tea has been categorized as "cold".
On the contrary, something like ginger tea, for example, is considered "hot" and causes the body to become warmer once the liquid enters. And as we all know, our bodies like to stay warm so once green tea is ingested and the body becomes cooled by it, body energy (calories) is used to make it warmer. Thus the logic follows that indeed, green tea does aid us in weight loss by burning calories once we drink it.
The second pervasive idea linked to weight loss green tea is that it has a lot of caffeine; so it's never a good idea to have it as an evening drink or digestif. However, caffeine is notorious for suppressing one's appetite and that is very good news for those with difficulties with appetite control. Coffee drinkers often are able to skip their breakfast meal for this very reason - although skipping any meal is highly discouraged. But if you find yourself unable to control portion amounts or find it difficult to gauge your personal threshold of hunger; then drinking weight loss green tea along with your meal may help you along those lines. Moreover in general, drinking teas with your meal (i.e. Peppermint tea) often aid with digestion; so before you grab a soda with that next meal, opt for a low-key option such as green tea and you might begin a very healthy habit for the rest of your life.
Lastly, weight loss green tea may be helpful in getting you back into shape but more importantly it is a natural, safe and proven way of weight loss. Before you look into pills and over-the-counter drugs, think very carefully about what you are putting into your body. Pharmaceutical drugs may be helpful and faster, but some could do more harm and cause permanent damage. Holistic methods may be slower but in the long run it may be the better choice for you. Remember you only have one body, treat it as a treasure and you will be paid back handsomely. Weight Loss Green Tea may be just the thing to add to your diet and nutrition plan.
