Anyone can get themselves to eat the right foods and to exercise for a week or two but as you and I both know, that's not enough time to get the results we want. When you go into your new diet and exercise plan with the mentality that you will need to stick to the new lifestyle for a long time, you will have a much better chance of actually following through even when you don't initially see the results you want.

3. Consistency.

How do you get anything you want in life? The answer is to get a plan and work it consistently until you reach your goal. It's all about being consistent folks. The best part is that if you can get yourself to workout and eat right long enough, it will eventually become a habit. Once that happens, working out become effortless. To motivate yourself, you can do all sorts of things such as listening to songs that pump you up, working out with a partner to keep you accountable, or even having some sort of consequence for not following through such as taking the bus to work.
