Weight Loss Through Exercise

By Edited Jun 12, 2016 0 1

Thousands of people are struggling with weight loss today and so it is no surprise that people need exercise advice. While some people opt to spend hundreds of dollars on gym memberships, you can actually achieve the same goals by performing exercises in the comfort of your own home or office. Plus, many people struggle with self consciousness when working out at the gym so this will give you the confidence to persevere in your own comfort level.

One of the best exercises for weight loss is the push up. You were doing pushups back in elementary and they are still one of the best ways to stay in shape. Your abs, chest, biceps and triceps all get a hearty work out with pushups and it also helps you build more muscle. The more muscles you work the more calories you inevitably burn.

The T push up can also be used if you are able to support your own weight. This is where you rotate your torso while in the pushup position and then extend your arm straight as if you looked like the letter T from the side.

Another great calorie eliminator is the squat. You can even incorporate your squat exercise with lunges if you want to work out your legs more as well. Your hamstrings and gluts will get a nice work over with a squat or lunge, especially is done daily.

One of the most hated exercises in school was the pull up and unfortunately for those people it can be a great way to lose weight and tone your muscles. If you go into a gym you will see people are stair climbing for hours, but there is a much better way you can do it at home or in the office. Step ups are basically the same concept but you actually have more control over the speed and difficulty level of the exercise. You can even incorporate leaping with both legs onto the step as well, but always be careful not to set a height you can't reach.

The V roll is one of the favorite weight-loss exercises because of its effectiveness. Lie down on your back and extend your arms straight over your head. When you lift up you want to keep your arms and legs straight as if your body were making a V. This exercise gives your abs a killed work out as well as your calves and thighs.

Lastly, running is another popular exercise which has many benefits including the potential to weight loss. The term running can also include jogging or sprinting. In addition, sustained walking sessions, which is typically slower than running can also achieve the same benefits to running.
