For many authors making money online with Info Barrel, a prefect New Year's resolution is to make more money. How much would you like to make? I would like to make $2,000 per month, at the minimum, with Info Barrel by the end of the year. My goal, however, should really have no bearing whatsoever on your Info Barrel New Year's resolution.

When you set a goal that is monetary in nature, you will really need to study how you can achieve it. It will require work, especially if you set your Info Barrel New Year's resolution high. Perhaps you would be really happy with $100 per month in passive income. There is nothing wrong with making this your New Year's resolution with Info Barrel. As you set your goals, with the monetary results in mind, try to make it something you will have to work at, but that isn't impossible.

Money….with a twist:

Why not try to make your Info Barrel New Year's resolution a little different? Have you considered putting away all the money you make online, and then taking a nice trip in the winter? Those with families will find this a great way to finally get in that fun trip to Disney. You really can attain this New Year's resolution, if you put some time and effort into writing articles on Info Barrel.

Those looking more at items to purchase may wish to save their earnings, as part of their Info Barrel New Year's Resolution, and spend the money on a tangible item. If you like a new four wheeler, boat, sewing machine, or virtually anything else, you can incorporate it into your New Year's resolution.

Number of articles:

If you choose to make your Info Barrel New Year's resolution related to the number of quality articles you write, you will need to closely examine your abilities. I'm really referring to the amount of time you have to devote to making money online by writing these articles, not your writing abilities. Perhaps you can push out three articles per week. This sounds quite attainable, doesn't it? If you stick to your Info Barrel New Year's resolution, you will publish over 150 articles for the year. Over the course of time, even a smaller contribution can really add up.

Some may want to explore the possibility of making a lofty New Year's resolution on Info Barrel. For those that fit this mold, it may be wise to break your goals down by the week. One thousand articles sounds quite hard to attain, doesn't it? Of course, when you break it down, it's about 19 per week. This number, while still lofty, simply sounds more attainable, doesn't it? When you make a New Year's resolution with Info Barrel, breaking it down may help you succeed.

Comments and friends:

There is nothing wrong with setting your Info Barrel New Year's resolution in area of making friends or commenting on articles, right here on Info Barrel. Perhaps you can make it a point to read and comment on 10 articles per week. Maybe you could make it a goal to make a certain number of Info Barrel friends.

Making it happen:

As noted, it really helps to break down your Info Barrel New Year's resolution into smaller chunks. If you want to write a certain number of articles for the year, for example, breaking it down by month, week or even day may help you to succeed. Taking small bites, rather than large ones, may help you stay motivated, so you can accomplish your Info Barrel New Year's resolution.

For many, having a constant reminder of their Info Barrel New Year's resolution will improve the chances of success. If you would like to buy an item, for example, you could hang a picture of it by your computer. This would work in the case of a family vacation as well, with a magazine page, showing a picture of your intended location. These types of reminders can really help you stay motivated, so you can attain your Info Barrel New Year's resolution.

Sometimes, getting a loved one in on the action is quite effective. This can mean sharing the goal with them, or setting the goal with them in mind. Perhaps you would like to buy your spouse something special. You may want to share that Info Barrel New Year's resolution with them, so they can help you stay motivated. This may or may not work for you, but it is something to keep in mind as you attempt to make your New Year's resolution with Info Barrel.

Making lofty, pie in the sky goals can have a negative impact as you set your Info Barrel New Year's resolution. If you shoot too high, you are very unlikely to meet your goal for the year. For some, setting a goal of writing 1,000 articles on Info Barrel, may not be possible. If you fall behind early on, will you be able to stay motivated, so you succeed? In some cases, 100 articles would be hard to attain. It really depends on what you are willing, and able, to tackle with your Info Barrel New Year's resolution.

Setting your New Year's resolution with Info Barrel too high isn't the only concern. Setting them too low can be dangerous as well. If you don't try to set the bar at least somewhat high, based on your abilities, you may meet your goal, but will you really succeed? Push yourself a little bit. You can achieve more than you may realize. Set your Info Barrel New Year's resolution so you have to really earn it.

Thanks Howie.

I'm thinking about my goals. That's really what a resolution is all about.

I want to be consistent here too and post at least 30 articles a month. But the pre-approval is irritating me!

...it's only for the first 10 articles, though....as far as I understand....it's basically to allow Info Barrel to become familiar with each individual writer....

....although the manual submission approval process may irritate some, the inverse could also occur like it does with eHow: next to no quality control....and, then, even the most passionate longterm eHow writers have their articles subjected to massive, site wide, article deletions....with little to no feedback....

If you ask me, I'd rather go for the manual review process any day....Google will give Info Barrel ALOT of favor for that....

Thats a great idea of the goal setting. Yes I thought I would be right now I have written sixteen articles, but still not approved. It will happen one day.

This is very motivating--thank you! My New Years' Info Barrel goal is 15 articles a week, minimum. Besides my own blogs/sites, I plan to invest most of my time on Info Barrel in 2010. Happy New Year!

Motivating article! Setting goals, and making sure they are attainable, will give you the motivation to continue. Start off too big, and you will lose interest fast. Baby steps can work here.

Food for thought It's important to set lofty but attainable goals. I'm thinking 50 Infobarrels in one month. Take a break (or do some link building) and back to it again.
Keep us posted on your progress and thanks
