What All Players Should Know Before Playing Craps

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

Do you like to play Craps? A lot of people like to play Craps whether it is online or offline and that is something that you need to watch out for. The reason I say this is because there are some things that you need to know about playing craps that you might not already know.

Being that Craps is a game that most people play when they hit the casino floor, you need to know as much about it as you possibly can. Below I have a few things that I strongly recommend that you read so that you know as much about Craps as you possibly can before you play the next time.

The Simple Pass Line Bet

The pass line bet is the easiest bet you can make in craps and the reason all that needs should done is to have somebody roll a 7 or 11. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12 then you will also automatically lose. If the shooter rolls a different number, then that number is the new point and the shooter needs to roll that new point before a 7 or 11 is rolled in order for you to win.

This is the exact reason so many people bet on the pass line before anything else. If you want to have the highest chance of winning, then you need to focus solely on pass line bets. The reason I would recommend this bet is because it has a house edge of only 1.41% which is better than most other bets on the table. The best bet on the table is the don’t pass bet which only has a 1.36% house advantage.

Avoid Terrible Bets

There are four terrible bets that you need to avoid when playing craps and they are; Big 6, Big 8, Hard 4 and Hard 10. All of these bets have at least a house advantage of 9.1% and the Hard 4 and 10 have an advantage of 11%. Trust me, you don’t need to place these bets because the chances of you winning them are very slim.

There are a lot of things that you need to know about Craps and the two biggest things are to play the simple pass line and avoid the four worst bets you can possibly make. I know that you might want to mix it up a bit when playing Craps but I think you would be much happier walking away with a pocket full of cash than no money at all because you wanted to play the risky bets.
