What Do You Get From Treadmill Workouts?

By | 2 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Even as old as they are getting the treadmills still remain a very popular fitness equipment and they are not going anywhere. They are simulating the most popular form of exercising and moving around: walking. When people stop walking they will probably stop using treadmills, or vice versa they will get more popular.

The increased use of treadmills prove that they are providing people with an effective workout. The companies manufacturing treadmills started adding all kinds of different functions to the running machines so that you would be able to do the same things on them as you would be doing while outdoors. This is because many people are substituting running outdoors completely to running on a treadmill. Don't get me wrong, treadmills fitness equipment can provide you with a good running workout, but they never make up for a run outdoors.

You should not do this since running on alternating surfaces and in fresh air will give you a lot more of health benefits than doing so inside. Not only will you be able to avoid problems with your joints like arthritis but you will not get asthma for breathing the dry and cold air conditioned air. You will be working harder because of the fresh air. My advice to you is to not stop running outside, but only use a treadmill when it is raining or the weather is bad. You don't get the same experience from treadmill workouts.

I agree, it is great to utilize a variation of indoor/outdoor runnings workouts for the best benefits. I find that treadmills are great for interval training. Sound advice!
