What To Look For in Diamond Earrings
Diamond earrings are a great way to add a little something extra to a great outfit. Noting makes an outfit pop like eye-catching jewelry. So much so that one could argue that an outfit isn't complete without a pair of earrings. For all but the most casual events, diamond earrings go well with anything. But what should you look for when buying a set of diamond earrings?
The first thing to decide on is the style that you want. Do you want something unique or a pair that are more subtle that will go with almost any outfit? If you are the kind of girl that likes to stand out in the crowd, take a look at some of the more unique designs. Consider some type of dangle or chandelier earring. If you would prefer something simpler, you really can't go wrong with a pair of studs with a single diamond.
Once you have picked a style, consider the material that the earrings are made out of. Typically when you are buying jewelry with precious stones, you want to have them set in a precious metal, of which gold is the most popular. However, just because it is made out of gold, doesn't mean that it has to be that much more expensive. In fact 14k diamond earrings can be quite affordable. Looks wise, most can't tell the difference between more economical 14k gold and more expensive 22k or 24k gold. You could also consider metals such as silver, platinum or titanium. However, those aren't nearly as common for diamond earrings.
Your biggest factor in all of this may be your budget. None of the above choices may matter if you are needing to find an affordable pair of earrings or if you are buying children's diamond earrings. The most expensive part of the earrings will be the diamond or diamonds that are used. Diamonds get exponentially more expensive that they get larger. If you want a big look without the big price, look for earrings with a number of small diamonds.
