What is Foot Detox?

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

What is foot detox? Will it do you any harm? The answer to the second question is no, it will not do you any harm. And when I start explaining what foot detox is you will understand my reasoning behind this argument.

Foot detox is a method of isolating and releasing toxins from your system. It is based on the Japanese practice. It is one of the alternative methods of detoxification that are available.

Your body has two major organs in the liver and kidneys whose job it is to segregate and eliminate any poisonous elements that get into your body. We are subjected to a bombardment of toxins in several levels of our lives. Toxins are present in the food that we eat, they also present in the air that we breathe, and are everywhere in our environment.

So what are we supposed to do?

Well one way of dealing with the toxins in our environment is to pack your bags and move to a toxic free environment, say the Himalayas. So this is not possible. Another way of decreasing the effect of chemicals in your system is to try and change your diet, by eating only foods whose origins you know. A lot of the time this is not possible.

Foot detox

Detoxification has become a buzzword in the late 20th and early 21st century. Basically what this means is helping your system by either taking a detox diet, are going through some other form of detoxification. In foot detox, there are two methods which are applied. One method is the foot detox patches which draw toxins out through the soles of your feet while you are sleeping. The second method is the foot detox spa which involves again drawing toxins out from the soles of your feet while you bathe your feet in warm salted water.

Can foot detox harm you?

Going back to the question of the beginning of this article, can foot detox harm you? Foot detox patches are made up of natural ingredients including tree sap, bamboo vinegar, and assorted detoxing herbs. So even if the foot detox patch does not actually work for you, it will do you no harm.
