As the holidays approach many of us are familiar with the feeling of intense dread toward the influx of everything holiday. There is so much abundance of joy that comes with the holidays but there is also an abundance of other things like gifts, mail, phone calls, relatives, friends, wrapping paper, decorative green and red bows, ginger bread men, and ornaments. It is only a matter of time that we start to have nightmares of the sugar plum ferries and roll out of bed with christmas tree needles all stuck to our slippers.

Luckily, there is a way to calm these Christmas time anxieties, and one of our best ways to combat them is with a little dose of organization. If you throw some good organization into the mix you are on your way to a Christmas with less stress and more time spent with family and friends focusing on the good stuff.

One of the Christmas details that tends to cause the most clutter is the flood of Christmas cards that we receive that usually end up strewn across the dining room table or eating our fridge. There are so many cards on our fridge by the time Christmas comes that I cannot help but say hi to every friend and family member I have ever known every time I go to the fridge for some egg nog.

To avoid this from happening to your refridgerator one of the best vices you can have is to arm yourself before the holiday season with a Christmas card holder to store and display all of the Christmas cards that trickle through the mailbox with increasing volume after Thanksgiving.

There are many different versions and options of Christmas card holders. One of the options is a ribbon Christmas card holder and these are long strips of decorative ribbon that have little clips down them. They can be hung from the top of a door way and the cards can be clipped down them and it forms a nice and neat display down a closet door in your home. The cards look right in place with the Christmas themed ribbons that are used to hold the cards.

Another really cute idea for a Christmas card holder is a wreath made out of wire. There is wire bended into the form of a wreath and the wire overlaps so that cards can be stuck into the wreath. What you end up with instead of a wreath on the door and cards all over the house is a nice decorative wreath made out of Christmas cards. With a wire wreath, you can really kill two birds with one stone and have an entire wreath made out of Christmas cards every year without ever having to go shopping for another Xmas wreath.

There is another type of holder that uses the same concept except if you have a higher influx of cards you may want to use the wire Christmas tree. There are little Christmas trees made out of wire that hold a large volume of cards so that you can fit all of your friends and family onto one tree.
