Buy 80's Clothing- It's Like, So Cool! 80's Tees, 80's Sweatshirts, 80's leggings
As a child of the 1980's, I hold a special place in my heart for 80's tees and 80's clothing, especially when I can buy 80's clothing online from the convenience of my computer. No matter what type of jeans I choose to wear, 80's tee shirts always look great, whether they are distressed or character shirts. Some of my favorite tee shirts include sesame street tee shirts, my pacman tee shirt and of course, my care bear shirts. I have been collecting pac-man tee shirts and pac-man clothing for the last five years, and my collection continues to grow with each subsequent birthday and holiday. I still own plenty of leggings and stretchies in a rainbow of colors, and if you think that I've given up wearing matching scrunchies with my retro tee shirts, you're sadly mistaken. In fact, I have a secret stash of blue eye shadow and Aqua Net hairspray that I save for special retro nights out on the town. There's no shame in my game; I love the 80's.Â
I thoroughly enjoyed all of the cartoons of the 1980, especially the Care Bears and She-Ra, Princess of Power. He-Man was the bomb and so were the Thunder Cats. I remember sitting on my bed on a Saturday morning and enjoying episodes of the Pound Puppies and Pee Wee Herman. I must not be the only one who enjoyed these shows, because I've been able to find some great 80's cartoon DVDs on sale that I was able to purchase and share with my own children. I think I might have enjoyed the cartoons more than they did. Either way, it feels good enveloping my children in wholesome cartoons that I know and trust, as opposed to the cesspool that we call television of today.
Where To Buy 80's Tee Shirts And Bags
I started buying 80's tee shirts before they became as popular as they are today. The first store I bought from was Spencer Gifts; they have always had a small collection of retro clothing. Now, if you visit a Spencer's you will see a huge collection of 80's tees with all of your favorite characters. I love the Grover and Oscar the Grouch shirts with their bright colors and dark backgrounds. If you want an alternative to shopping in person, consider any one of many online stores that sell 80s retro clothing online. There are also plenty of online specials that can offer savings that may not be available in a brick and mortar store.Â
Most die-hard 80's fans go beyond the tee shirts and jump right into 80's bags and accessories. I noticed that Pac-Man backpacks became popular in the middle schools and high schools. They came in so many different styles; some had huge Pac-Man emblems while other bags were decorated in a bunch of little white dots and ghosts, which was my personal favorite. I'm not sure if kids of today appreciate the Pac-Man era as much as we do, but it will always hold a special place in my heart. I remember the days of playing arcade games for hours on end for just a couple of quarters. I remember competing to earn the privilege of putting my name up on the high score list. The 80's was a time of light-hearted fun and enjoying each day. It seems so long ago, especially when viewed in comparison to today's decaying society.
Retro clothing is coming back into style, especially with the newer generation. While I don't think we will be seeing the Pump sneakers again anytime soon, the retro jeans that were stylish years ago are coming back into style, as are the baggy tops and belts. I remember a time when I probably owned 30 or more belts in just about every color and material available. I had leather belts, pleather belts and metal belts in all different shapes and sizes. Back in the day, a belt could make or break your outfit. And what about slouch socks? They are almost impossible to find nowadays and I'm not sure why- slouch socks were comfy and looked cool, especially when you stacked one pair on top of the other for a two tone effect. We didn't care that it made our feet sweaty, it looked cool to layer slouch socks, and that was all that mattered.
For those who aren't bold enough to show up in public with a full 80's ensemble, do consider purchasing a few cool retro 80s tees to supplement your wardrobe. You might be surprised at how much new life an old retro tee shirt can do for your closet. Tee shirts are flexible and easy to pair up with your favorite pair of jeans or shorts, no matter what mood you're in.
