America's wealthiest people live in California, according to Wealth-X.net, a business development solution for wealth and asset managers which offers a black book of UHNW, that's Ultra-High-Net-Worth, super rich individuals. Their web site provides a member-only service to organizations, families, and business folk, who are reaching out to the richest clients, the ones with the most money.
"This is gold dust. Absolutely fantastic." says one independent financial advisor.
"The information your team was able to produce blew us away," says a multi-family office.
"Even with all the time and resources in the world, we still couldn't generate this level of insight," applauds another multi-family office.
"Led by the former editor of the Forbes rich lists, the Wealth-X research team is the authority on collecting and analyzing information about ultra high net worth individuals, including their wealth, income, passions, philanthropic interest, affiliations, politics, advisors, families and biographies."
Located at 75 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, Wealth-X lists the ultra wealthy by state in its latest Intelligence Briefing. There are 55,000 UHNW individuals in the United States and according to the new report, more than half of the super rich have primary homes in just five states:
- New York
Asset managers clamor to earn the business of the UHNW across the United States as do philanthropic organizations bidding for America's wealth. The most money is concentrated in California, with 9800 on its rich list worth more than $30 million, 7,300 in New York, and Texas has 5,200+ wealthy.
The next six states are:

Only three states have less than a hundred UHNW: Alaska, Delaware and North Dakota.
