What to do in Colorado part two

Vail is a small town in Eagle County, Colorado. It has a population of around 4600 people and is one of Colorado's many popular ski destinations. The town actually got its beginnings as a ski resort. The town was built to be the base village of the Vail Ski Resort. The town was founded by Pete Seibert and Earl Eaton in 1962.

Vail is located about 97 miles west of Denver on Interstate 70. Since it is directly on I70, it's not to hard to reach in the winter. The Colorado Department of Transportation does a good job of keeping the highways clear in the winter. Of course, if you're not used to driving in winter conditions, the road may be very dangerous in the winter. The driving time to reach Vail in good weather is about 2 hours from Denver.
