Why I Love Social Monkee

By Edited May 18, 2015 4 31

I recently found a couple sites that will bookmark your articles, pages on your website, or your website URL for better ranking in Google, Bing, and Yahoo. This is something that everybody should be keen on doing. If you're already doing keyword research and backlinking those articles and such, you'll definitely want to spend time mass bookmarking your articles as well.

The best site, by far, that I've found to do the most for my money (it's free!) is Social Monkee. In this article, I'd like to discuss the benefits of this amazing program. A few of the topics will include:

  • The Best Part of Social Monkee
  • How to Use Social Monkee for Best Results
  • How to Make Social Monkee an Easy Click Away
  • Premium Access and It's Worth
  • How to Get Premium Access for Free
  • Best FAQs from Social Monkee's Site
  • The Negatives of Social Monkee

Hopefully by the end, you'll want to go on over and sign up. And if this article has helped in any way, it'd be awesome to have you sign up under my affiliate link ---> Social Monkee free sign up. Now continue reading before I lose you to the typical person's ADHD.

The Best Part of Social Monkee

Well, to be honest, there is no best part; there are best parts, plural. I began using Social ADR as a way to get tons of bookmarks out in the world wide web to point back to my articles, sites, etc. Social ADR is great, and I suggest anybody going to my profile page and signing up for it; but there are a few things that Social Monkee does much better. First off, when you sign up for Social Monkee, the only thing you need to do is type your name, email address, and a password. Then the site goes through their 100 bookmarking database and uses your name, email address, and password to create accounts. This only takes a few minutes and is completely free! ADR charges $11 for only 18 sites. What a difference!

Another great thing about Social Monkee is the fact that they don't submit your unique URL to the same 25 links over and over. Picked at random out of the 100 sites they possess, this site will bookmark your URL to 25 of them. Yes, you get 25 backlinks to any URL of your choice at one URL per day. Amazing!

Thirdly, you'll find that Social Monkee is a great site to navigate. When you login, you're directly put onto your dashboard for easy access to the rest of the site's utilities. Utilities such as your referral link, reports, and their FAQs.

How to Use Social Monkee for Best Results

If you'd like to get the most out of this website and program, then you'll want to take this advice. And you can take it for any social bookmarking sites that you use. The best way to use social bookmarking is to not directly bookmark your articles, websites, or pages. There should be a tier system in place. Because you are submitting 25 links per day to your specific URL, you won't want Google to become completely aware that you're trying to overload your "stuff" with backlinks. So the best way to backlink using mass bookmarking techniques is to bookmark to your backlinks. What I mean is this:

Tier 1: This is the actual website, page, or article that you'd like ranked high in the SERPs.

Tier 2: This is where you write articles to add backlinks to your site, page, or article.

Tier 3: This is the spot for social bookmarking. You use Social Monkee here to backlink to all of your Tier 2 articles. Not directly to your Tier 1 site, page, or article.

This way the juices will flow through the tiers and end up on your website, page, or article without Google, Bing, or Yahoo knowing that you are directly affecting your rankings through backlinking.

How to Make Social Monkee an Easy Click Away

The website has a great way to add your URLs without going directly to the site and logging in everytime. It's called the Firefox Plugin/Submit to Sites. If you're using the Firefox browser (which everybody should be, in my opinion), then you'll be able to download the plugin and bookmarks are just a click away. There will appear a small monkey at the bottom right of your browser after you've restarted Firefox. Just click that button, enter the information, and you're good to go.

Premium Access and It's Worth

Whereas other sites have many levels of upgrades where you may end up paying over $100/month for their program, Social Monkee has one solid premium plan (if it's worth your moolah). The premium account will give you all of this:

  • 9,000 backlinks per month
  • Submit your links to 100 unique sites instead of 25
  • Build backlinks 3 times per day instead of once
  • Access to full reports to every backlink you create
  • Access to an RSS feed for ALL of your links to index in Google faster
  • Advanced video training for better use of the site
  • It's only a one-time payment instead of a monthly fee like most sites

The best part of this whole thing is that it's only a one-time payment of $47. Other places, like Social ADR, make you pay a monthly fee for using their services. You gain a premium account by simply paying one time. But then there's the other way of getting a premium account...

How to Get Premium Access for Free!

The best, although not the easiest, way to enter the premium world is by doing it the free way. What's this way? By referring 12 other people. That's it! This is one of the many reasons why I'm writing this comprehensive review. I'm sincerely hoping that you'll find this program to be worth your time and effort and thus click on the link at the bottom to sign up as a referred member of Manspaugh (you can also go to my profile page for more info). Then you can go ahead and get your referrals for your free membership. I really do believe this site is worth signing up for. I wouldn't spend this much time and effort just to get a premium account on a site that I don't believe in.

Best FAQs from Social Monkee's Site

     1. How many times can I submit a URL everyday? As a free member, you can submit 1 URL to 25 everyday. As a Premium member, you can submit 1 URL to 100 sites, 3 times per day.

     2. How exactly does it work? Everytime you submit a URL, a page is created on each of the bookmarking sites that contains one link back to your URL.

     3. Do you allow hyphens or special characters? No special characters are allowed, but hyphens are allowed in the URL, not in the title.

     4. How can I know how many referrals I've made? The amount you've referred is right under your referral code in the dashboard, after you login.

     5. Do you provide banners and sales copies? Yes, these are found in the "Promo Tools" section.

The Negatives of Social Monkee

I hate to discuss negatives of a place I love so much, but every website and program has them. The biggest con that I have found with this site is the fact that you cannot ever submit more than one URL. Not just on one day, but ever. You can only submit one specific URL once in the lifetime of your account. Social Monkee explains this to be a good thing because people would just use the site for spamming their own URLs, but I find that it should be regulated much better, rather the nixing it after one time. The good part is that you can submit URLs from different pages on one website.

And that's pretty much the bad news of the program. Everything else I've found is just amazing!

Many people know that backlinks are absolutely necessary for building authority on your websites, pages, or articles. Social bookmarking is one of those necessary evils that will help to boost you through the rankings. What I've personally learned in the past is that if I don't use these bookmarking techniques, I won't see as much traffic. Whether that's been a fluke or not, I do not know. But what I do know is that Social Monkee has been a great place for applying 25 or more unique backlinks to my existing backlinks, which only helps in the long run.

If this will help you, then I suggest taking action. It'd be great to see you on my list of referrals and to see you succeed in getting yours as well. Click this link to sign up for free if you're interested. In any case, I wish you nothing less than absolute success in building your passive income. Best of luck!

Didn't know about that whole tiering thing. Thanks for the info. Social Monkee is easy to use just as you state. I only figured out that whole submit 1 URL ever thing just recently, but now that I know about the tiering thing, it's not really a negative is it? It's just a work around. ;-)

So true Chomina! If you use Social Monkee as the Tier 3, then all you have to do is write an article that points to what you want, then use Social Monkee to point to that article. All done! I really believe in this method. I'm climbing the ranks incredibly from just using this method.

Yeah, I hope you like it as much as I do BH25.
Mar 26, 2011 8:36pm
I think I'm interested too. I'm just a bit confused about the one URL thing. It sounds like I could use different articles in one place -like if I used Mini-articles on Xomba for tier two, then I could link to as many different xomba articles as I wanted using social monkey. Please let me know if this is correct.
Mar 26, 2011 8:46pm
What you would do is create one mini-article on Xomba (if that's your choice), then use that URL and bookmark it on Social Monkee. You wouldn't be able to use Social Monkee for that mini-article ever again.

Then you would create another mini-article on Xomba (or any other place) and use Social Monkee to bookmark that URL and wouldn't be able to use that URL ever again. And so on. They can all be on Xomba's domain, but each article is it's own URL and Social Monkee only allows one URL to ever be used.

Hope that helps.

Hey man, just signed up for the free account with your affiliate link. I'll give it a spin and see how it works. I think I'll try using it on a handful of articles I'm planning on writing as "tier 2" backlinks to a niche site I've been working on.

Thanks for the great review. Hopefully you're getting closer to that free premium account :)

Rock On

Haha, sweet Jerky! It'd be great to hear what you think of the service. It's definitely okay for the Tier 2 position as well. I've used it for that on a few of my articles. Thanks bro!

Just signed up through your link. Will go and figure it out now. Thanks for sharing
Apr 12, 2011 3:30pm
Wonderful! Thanks so much! Let me know what ya think about it.
Jul 14, 2011 10:23am
How do you know which social bookmarking sites is it sending it to? I mean, what if I a bookmark already in that site?
Jul 14, 2011 10:37am
To be honest, I couldn't tell ya. But I've never worried about it. They've got 100 sites that they use (I'm assuming the sites are owned by them). But when you use Social Monkee, they spin the bookmarks you make, so you would never see duplicate content anyways.
Jan 9, 2012 1:31am
You can check the reports page, you can see all the links to the social bookmarking sites. If you've got a free account, you can only see have of them. I've checked my links, and they're there. They've been helping my page rank steadily.
Jul 14, 2011 1:52pm
But it has a PR "0"
Dec 30, 2011 8:55am
Thanks for explaining the Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 bit. You're the first one I've seen who explained it so succinctly. There are a few dofollow sites I have in mind I could use as Tier 2 backlinks.

Do you recommend using PR3 sites and up? What seems to have worked for you?
Dec 30, 2011 9:43am
Quality is always better than quantity. I'd rather have 10 PR 3 sites backlinking to me than 50 PR 0 sites.
Jan 9, 2012 1:29am
I've been employing your Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 strategy to one of my web 2.0 pages with Social. It is working very well. Steadily climbing the ranks. Thanks for the tip. By the way, I signed up under you.
Jan 9, 2012 7:58pm
Much appreciated :D

More importantly. I'm really glad it's working for you. Let me know how it goes.
