Why Is Gold A Good Investment?

With the worlds greatest country, the United States in such a financial mess, the question answers itself. Most individuals who have the means to protect their future interests will be wise in piling up a stash of gold coins, bullion and other gold investments.

Investing in gold bars is probably the best way to go if you are looking to convert a serious portion of your investment portfolio over to gold bullion. I like the idea of gold coins that are also used as currency. With more and more banks being closed and taken over by the government, which is printing more and more paper money, many people are seeing a future of confederate dollar bills being worth as much as United States dollars.

Paper money is only as good as the financial situation of the country issuing it. If the United States goes into bankruptcy as bizarre as that sounds, those with gold will have the upper hand in trading.

Also, the current financial mess is a good opportunity to make some heavy investing in gold if you have the cash on hand. I can only see an extended period of financial stress which will continue to increase the price of gold. The sooner one buys into the gold market, the quicker one will see profits as gold continues to go up in price.

Basically, no one should be without some gold investment. Gold coins, bars, and or bullion are all highly valuable and liquid commodities. Gold is a commodity that is highly in demand and readily traded on the open markets. One can just look at the individuals advertising for gold scraps that they plan to convert to gold bullion. Someone is planning on making gold scarce and the scarcer the product, the more its worth.

Gold fever has always been a human phenomenon. Your investment in gold is a sure thing whether the financial situation of those countries using the paper standard changes or not. The paper standard, of course, is used by countries who print money according to what they perceive is their gross national product. What I see is that these countries are not subtracting their gross national debt in determining their gross worth. Therefore, since gold is a highly valuable and tradable product with intrinsic rather than paper worth, it makes sense to make a gold investment now before it is too late.
