Why People Visit and Move to Arkansas

Arkansas seems to be in the news every year for tornadoes. People who are not from tornado areas tend to be very scared of tornadoes, so why do these people who are scared of tornadoes move into Arkansas?

Here are some reasons that Arkansas is able to attract both visitors and people who permanently relocate there with their family.

Low Chance of Being Affected by Tornado

Although the fear of tornadoes is common to people outside of the Midwest, people in side of Arkansas understand that their chance of being struck by a tornado is extremely small. It is possible but even if a tornado does occur it probably will not affect them.

Friendly People

Yes Arkansas has people living there that are rude and belligerent, but all States have people like this. If you ever visit Arkansas or move to the Great State of Arkansas then you will soon learn that overall the people are extremely friendly in this State. The friendliness and helpfulness of the Arkansas people help attract a lot of visitors each year and some of these visitors will choose to move to Arkansas permanently. The quality of life in any State is drastically increased when you live around friendly people.

Little Rock, Arkansas is the largest city in the State of Arkansas and is directly responsible for numerous new residents each year. People may think of Arkansas as a State filled with “Back Woods” types of people who are not extremely educated but Little Rock can easily break the stereotype. There are a lot of well-educated people in Little Rock. If you don’t count the many politicians who live in Little Rock, then you will find that the average person is very smart in this area.

The Ozarks

The Ozarks is a very beautiful and help to attract many visitors to the State of Arkansas.

University of Arkansas

The University of Arkansas is attracting not only students and professors, but also a lot of other businesses. The popularity of The University of Arkansas and the huge increase on the number o students wanting to attend this school is helping the surrounding area to grow quickly. The number of students at this Arkansas University was closing in on 25,000 students in 2012. As the school expands and more students are accepted this area will grown even more. Some of the students from out of State who graduate from the University of Arkansas choose to remain in the State because they enjoy it and there are multiple opportunities for them to be able to use their newly received degree. The University of Arkansas is located in Fayetteville and was initially founded in 1871.

Varied Economy

There are multiple different industries in the Great State of Arkansas that help to keep the economy booming. Yes Arkansas experiences downturns in economic growth like the rest of the Country did but there is still work available there and this is due to the multiple different businesses segments that thrive on this State.

Recreation

Arkansas is home to fishing and multiple other outdoor sports. As far as spectator sports goes some of the best college football in the Country is played in Arkansas. There is never not never going to be a time when you cannot find something you can to do in Arkansas when you love to participate in sports or play sports. The large amount of activities available in Arkansas helps it to attract a lot of new residents. When the Arkansas Razorbacks are playing a big time college game against a rival then you will find the stadium packed. These games also attract numerous visitors who come from out of state.

Amtrak

Amtrak passes through the State. Amtrak has 5 different stations in Arkansas and this helps to bring new visitors to Arkansas and through Arkansas. Amtrak helps to bring a lot of money to the Arkansas economy. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to visit Arkansas and do not want to drive or fly then go price out some Arkansas Amtrak tickets.

Single Mothers

There are a lot of single mothers in Arkansas. Most States seem to have a lot of single others except for Utah; however even in Utah the percentage of single mothers is growing. The single mothers in Arkansas meet guys online at dating websites such as Zoosk and then the guys come and visit the women. Some of the men end up staying in Arkansas and marrying the girl. The girls think that the guy is in love with them, but usually guy is simply in love with the fishing in Arkansas and the girl is secondary.

History

The amount of history in Arkansas is very diverse and you will never be left with a weekend of wanting to do something historic. There are numerous museums and other historical spots that help to teach and illustrate history. Civil rights history, Indian History, Colonial Explorer history, and many other niches of history can be explored and learned about when you visit or move to Arkansas.

President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site

The President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site is located in Hope, Arkansas. Not many people, if any, visit or move to Arkansas solely for this place; however there is no way you cannot give Arkansas credit for this place. Virginia seems to always be the home of most Presidents so it is nice to see other States also get credit for being the birthplace of a President. President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site is where President Bill Clinton was born. The President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Tours are given of the President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site.

A visit to Arkansas will provide you and your family with a lot of entertainment. You and your family may also like the State enough that you begin exploring the option to move there or at least planning another vacation to this amazing State.
