Additionally, organic bamboo clothing is perfect for casual or outdoors wear as it wicks moisture away from the body during heat due to its ability to absorb 3-4 times more than cotton. But it also helps to keep the body warm in cold weather due to its ability to trap heat due to the micro-gaps in the bamboo's fibrous structure. Lastly, for those who are price conscious, bamboo apparel is incredibly strong and durable which means that bamboo clothing will outlast cotton and there is less need to replace them.

Five Bamboo is an eco-business run by five siblings (Zahlen, Xtehn, Vehro, Rohre and Qxhna Titcomb), who developed a new method of turning sturdy bamboo into soft yarn. Whereas other companies use the viscose process which results in leaching health-threatening sodium hydroxide and carbon disulfide into the environment, Five Bamboo uses the closed loop lyocell process which does not use or release any harmful chemicals, solvents, or gases.
