School has just started and everyone is already ready for a break from school. With no hope of that any time soon, some of us like to stop and plan about what we will do when we finally get a break. If you are in that phase right now where you are planning on what to do, then what would you say to being able to get a taste of Europe for an inexpensive, and nearby vacation (if you live in the United States)? If this appeals to you, then how about visiting Canada?

Canada is located just north of the United States of America in the continent of North America. Canada is the second largest country in the world, second only to Russia. The main languages are English and French, depending on where you go. The population is 34 million. Canada is also home to the 5th largest island on Earth, the Baffin Island. Another interesting geographical feature in Canada is Mount Logan. It is 19,551 feet high, and it is still growing!

1.Activities and Fun For the Whole Family.

You can find something to interest everyone in the family. It's a great way to bond and enjoy time together as a family. You can go biking on Barnston Island, near British Columbia. It's an easy bike ride, so nothing too challenging for even the youngest riders. Another plus is that it is FREE! You can do this at any time of the year. How about the Canadian Museum of Flight? It's also located in British Columbia, near Langely. You can see around 70 different airplanes! It is located conveniently next to the Langley Airport. It's open year round and only costs about $12 a family. Another great free place is Central Park in Burnaby. Kids love visiting parks, and this one should be no exception. It is located on the border of Vancouver and Burnaby. Visiting the park is free, but you can pay for activities like putt putt, swimming, and more.

2. Beautiful Scenery

Visit the Canadian Rockies. They run throughout Canada from the United States to northern British Columbia. They are different than the Rockies in the United States, do don't assume that because you have seen those you've seen it all. One of the most obvious scenic attractions is Niagara Falls, located by the New York, United States, border. There are three different falls. These are located near the US border by New York, on the southern tip of Ontario. The falls are breathtaking and a must see. If you are looking for a beach scenery, then you should look at Long Beach Island- it's just outside of Washington, US, and outside of British Columbia in Canada.

3. It's Affordable

A lot of people think that traveling is a very expensive thing to do, especially outside of the country. The nice thing about Canada is that you can get a taste of Europe and explore somewhere outside of the United States, for a very affordable price! Depending on where you live, you can drive there. It's about a day's from states like New York and other northeastern states. You can find discounted rates on hotels in Canada by looking online. The sooner you start to plan your vacation, the easier it will be to find great prices. Also, there are many activities that you can do for free or inexpensively. So do not automatically assume that it will cost loads of money to visit Canada. Just explore your travel and lodging options, and then budget accordingly for your activities.

Canada is a great place to visit for the whole family. You can get a great cultural experience, meet new people, view breathtaking scenery, see exotic animals, do activities with the whole family, visit museums, and you can do all of those things within your budget.
