Make Money Online Through Passive Income

Saving Money While Traveling

Passive income online is an excellent way to supplement your earnings from your full time job, and  make money (relatively) hands free. It’s not for everyone - it requires a large dedication of time upfront, and results aren’t guaranteed - but for those who want to put in the effort and don’t mind learning new things, passive income can be an excellent way to make extra money. I myself started with passive income while taking a break between jobs. I discovered the concept online and thought it was laughable at first. However, the more I read, the more I was convinced that I wanted to do it. I’ve started my online money earning career with articles on InfoBarrel, and am considering branching out to other opportunities. This article lists some of the benefits of earning a side passive income through the internet.

Monetize Your Passion

The best thing about passive income online is that you can make money off the things you’re passionate about. Whether it’s writing for InfoBarrel or other content sites, starting your own blog, or writing your very own e-book, you can earn an income from something that interests you. There’s a demand for information in just about any niche you can conceive of. A good piece of advice is to think of the things you love doing, and which you can write extensively about. From there it’s easy to come up with many sub-topics or side projects which you can earn passive income with. For example, I spent a lot of time writing about traveling and living in Asia, and Toastmasters International, an organization dedicated to improving public speaking skills. From those two subjects alone there are dozens of things to write about. And what’s more, I actually enjoy doing it. Even if you don’t quite get the results you want - which is unlikely as long as you do your research - making passive income streams through article writing and online businesses can be an interesting side project for your spare time.

Make Money on the Side

Of course it takes a lot of time upfront. I’m at around 60 articles on Infobarrel as of this writing, and I’m just now beginning to see results. Happily, the more I write, the more hits come in, even on older articles. While they don't earn much passive income now, my articles will continue to grow with effort - and after that initial time investment, it’s completely hands free income. If you set things up properly, it’s money that comes in regardless of your professional or personal circumstances. For example, if you’re unfortunate enough to lose your job, in addition to your savings, you still have a bit of a cushion thanks to your sources of passive income. That alone makes it a valuable source of income, in my view.

Variety of Ways to Do It

The best thing about passive income on the internet is that it’s flexible. Article writing is among one of the easiest ways to get started - which, along with my interest in writing, is one of the reasons I’ve started with InfoBarrel - but there are plenty of other ways to get started. It’s easier than ever to do things like write your own e-book or guide to sell on the internet. If you’re a professional programmer, consider using your skills to fill in a niche on the iTunes Store or Google Play. There are also many ways to monetize your website through advertising, such as Google Adsense and Amazon Affiliates. I recommend checking out Smart Passive Income - a website run by a full time internet entrepreneur - for more detailed information. Smart Passive Income has everything from podcasts, videos, and interviews, and it’s where I got started with the idea of earning money through the internet.

For me, earning money online is just a fun way to make a little extra cash. For others, it can bloom into a full time profession. Regardless of your motivations, earning a passive income online can be a fun way to earn some extra money - outside of your normal job - and have fun doing it.
