Why You Should Use Frosted Window Film

There are many reasons why you should install frosted window film in your home. This article will exam several reasons why you should add window film to your household windows.


They can jazz up your windows and room.

Perhaps you have a view of a parking lot out your window. Pretty ugly, right? Maybe it's the view of your neighbor's home, and they don't take care of their home and yard like you do? What are you do to? Should you be forced to keep your shades down just so you don't see that eyesore? Now you don't have to. With frosted window film, you can apply the film to your window and do away with the unsightly view you have had to deal with for too long. The window film will still allow plenty of light to come through, but you will no long be staring at something ugly outside.

Do you have neighbors who like to peek into your home? Every have a neighbor remark that the new color in your living room looks great, and yet they haven't set foot in your home? Creepy, isn't it? You can easily put a stop to that. Depending on the size of your window, you can install a film that will prevent the next-door creeps from looking into your home. This is also good if you have children at home. Using a privacy window film will help prevent strangers from knowing where your kids are in your home.

Save on energy bill

Using window film on south facing windows in your home can help lower your heating costs. Many times you have had to lower your shades to keep that blazing sun from heating up that room in particular room and the rest of the home in general. Now by installing the right window film, you don't have to live in a darken room to stop from heating up your home. Not only can you save money on your cooling bills, but you can also get a window film that will cut down on the suns UV rays. The UV rays can cause premature fading on your carpets and furniture since they have sunlight beating down on them. Window insulation film will help prevent getting that sunspot fade on your stuff.

Get an energy tax credit

The government stimulus bill will allow you to get a 30% tax credit by installing energy saving window film. Not all window film is applicable. You should check with the manufacturer to see if their film meets the requirements of the tax credit. Wouldn't that be nice of the government to help pay for your energy savings?
