Why a Quick Weight Loss Plans Must Not Be Utilized

By | Apr 29, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

The human body is classified into three main types: the ectomorphs, endomorphs and mesomorphs. Ectomorphs have long arms, long legs, short upper body and little storage for fat. Endomorphs, on the other hand, have short neck, wide hip and can easily gain fats. Lastly, mesomorphs have long upper body, big chest and can easily gain muscles. Usually, an individual will have a body type that is a combination of two of the main types; and metabolism is among the important factors that determine the body type of an individual. So, if one has an endomorphic body type, he will experience difficulty in losing weight.

However, metabolism changes with the body and as weight is reduced, metabolism slows down. So, if this person with the endomorphic body type chooses to lose weight by means of a quick weight loss plan, he may just endanger himself. Losing more than two pounds each week is dangerous to the health. So, in a month, every individual is only allowed to lose eight pounds at most regardless of body type. Scientific studies have proven that if ten percent of the bodyweight is lost, metabolism will drop by fifteen percent. Basically, it becomes more difficult to lose weight while currently losing weight. Conversely, as the body gains more weight, its metabolism increases.

So, in conclusion, an individual's ideal weight and figure cannot be achieved by means of a temporary solution such as a quick weight loss plan. Even if the body loses twenty pounds in one week, this still does not prove that such weight loss plan is effective. Actually, much of this weight may be water weight. The classic way of having a healthy diet, regular exercise, and avoiding bad vices is still the key to safely and effectively achieve weight loss. Nonetheless, a complete diet plan may be utilized instead of a quick weight loss plan. For instance, one can make use of the low GI diet, low carbo diet, cholesterol-lowering diet, or the low calorie booster diet. These are safe diet plans that may aid in achieving safe weight loss.
