Window Curtains Are The Most Common Window Treatments

When people speak "window treatments" 9 out of 10 they are referring to window curtains. This is because they are the most commonly used window coverings. They are simple, fashionable and they come in many different styles and colors. One of the most popular curtains for their price are gingham curtains. They are descent and affordable.

Sheer curtains are also commonly used and very popular. They come in very handy especially if you want to darken a room a little bit. Sheer window curtains are used alongside other curtains and they are put beneath so to only block the sunlight. Some people use more than one curtain, it depends on how dark you want the room to be during the day.

There are also lace window curtains which are considerably fashionable. They can be used in almost any room in the house including the kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms. Though you must be aware that these window treatments are delicate they can not be thrown in a washing machine to be washed. You will have to hand wash them yourself or take them to a dry clean even better.

Window shades are also considered a type of window curtains. They are very convenient and easy to install. Like sheer curtains, they are sometimes used alongside with other window treatments, but now always, they look fine by themselves.

Window curtains' styles alongside valances are a beautiful sight in any room. You should consider doing this in the guest room or the main living room. It shows elegance and beauty and a nice sense of taste and style. It is also very classical yet fashionable.

Modern yet formal curtain examples would be the box pleat curtains. They look like regular window curtains only they are usually used on balcony glass doors or large windows and they have like a box on the top (valance) where the curtains come down from.

Cafe curtains are also one of the most popular and commonly used window hangings. They are used to offer the homeowner more privacy and they start from the middle of a window and cover the down half of it while the upper half is bare.
