Wireless Home Theater System - Wireless Surround Sound System

By | Dec 14, 2009 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

A wireless home theater system is the dream of any home theater owner. Think about how much easier it would be if you did not have to worry about wires. The truth of the matter is, technology is good, really good, but not that good- yet. When you hear about a wireless home theater system what is meant by the manufacturer is not totally wireless. What they mean is an "almost" wireless home theater system.

The speakers are wireless and easily moved around to maximize sound. This eliminates the trail of wires that are placed around a room when you are setting up a surround sound system. In the technology world, a wireless home theater system does not mean any wires at all; it simply means fewer wires, a lot less wires. This means, less mess, less clutter and less to hide. I know if you are reading this article you have a mass of cables behind that television set scrunched in a ball with something strategically hiding it.

Think about what a surround system is. A surround sound system is a compilation of five speakers and a subwoofer. That is a heck of a lot of wires. Now, you have two choices. If you get a regular surround sound system, you are then in essence purchasing six speakers, which mean at least six wires. Then you are going to need a professional to install it, which means a lot of money, holes in your walls, some new paint and spackle. Not to mention finding the personal to do the work, waiting for them to have the time to come and trusting them in your home.

If you purchase a wireless surround sound system or as they should call it an almost wireless surround sound system you will not have to worry about any of that. There are a minimal amount of wires, easy set up and speakers that you can place around the room without having to worry about speaker wires at all, well at least for the rear speakers, those work with radio waves or infrared signals.

Speakers are always going to need to draw power from somewhere. You might be eliminating the long wires connecting the speakers to each other but they are still going to need to be plugged in to the wall outlet for power. Wireless home theater systems and surround sound systems are definitely the way to go. You will save money, eliminate mess and clutter and get great sound.
