Women's Workout Review
The Women's workout is quite different from a man's workout, and there
are a few particular tools that work really well and I will review a
few of those here.
The first and most popular item for women's workout is the Body or Exercise Ball. The exercise ball is the
best way to strengthen the body's core muscles. These muscles are
those that support our spine, lower back, and strengthens the abdomen.
If your core muscles are strong, you are ready to build upon
this, working the muscles that extend form the core. You will be
improving balance and coordination.
You will be getting a
great workout by using the balance ball as a desk chair, forcing your
body to remain balanced and strengthening your core muscles at the same
time.
You can design an entire workout routine by using the
ball as a weight bench. You can do shoulder presses, dumbbell flies
and abdominal crunches. Most exercise fitness balls include a workout
DVD, an air pup, and a step-by-step exercise program.
If you
are 5'3" or under, you will want to get a 55cm ball, but if you are
taller than this, it will be a bit too small for using for weight
training, however, great for doing Pilates. If you suffer any kind of back pain, this will alleviate that pain.
If you are worried about the fitness ball bursting, or popping easily, Valeo makes a burst resistant exercise ball.
Another great option for using a fitness ball for women's workout is the Savasa Weighted Ball, which is made of a very soft, pliable, non-toxic plastic. The balls come with a DVD featuring the Savasa Personal Trainer, Jamie Kresta. The balls come in three weights, 3lb, 5lb, and 7lb, based on your level of fitness.
I recommend the fitness ball for a big part of a woman's workout, and you will realize the benefits of this right away.
